Gathering Your Components
As with most things, you have to give to receive. The Bald Wizard requires a small deposit up front to help cover the cost of your parts. Once the deposit has been secured, we immediately begin sourcing and gathering your components. Everything ships to the Bald Wizard first. No, that’s not a mistake. You’ll get tracking info, plenty of pictures as everything arrives, and it all stays in the original packaging until we’re standing together at your build appointment. Unboxing is part of the experience, and the Bald Wizard will not deprive you of any moment.
We work with real wholesale distributor accounts, and we deliberately keep our markup thin. It’s enough to cover our costs, but we don’t squeeze every drop of profit out of a part that you could order yourself. Instead, the real value is in the guidance, the teaching, and the hands-on build session where you learn the ins and outs of a computer you build from start to finish. In fact, if you have questions or concerns about what you’re paying and why, just ask. The Bald Wizard doesn’t believe in stupid questions; just sharing knowledge.
Patience is a virtue, and it’s one that the Bald Wizard has had to hone over his lifetime. Part of our process means having to wait for parts to be delivered, but you won’t do so in the dark. We believe in full communication at every step. You’ll get the same tracking information we do, and we’ll send you pictures of every part as it arrives.
